The drawings are characterised by net-like structures as well as isolated signs and motifs. Broken up by photographic snippets, however, the drawings do not exist in isolation. The precarious connections between the works create equally uncertain meanings at first. Only the mirror-inverted quotations draw the drawings into a concrete context, giving the individual elements a direction. The incorporated texts (by: Gian-franco Baruchello, Vilém Flusser, Aby Warburg, the Gorillaz and Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing) all focus on critical observations of Western culture in its relationship to nature. The text thus creates an irreversible transition between two temporal moments, also due to its difficult accessibility: one before reading, in which viewers associate freely, and one after reading, in which the content of the text becomes the centre of meaning.
