what is a man? >2024<
The large-format drawing is covered by a transcript of the subtitles automatically
generated from a video interview between Andrew Tate and Tucker Carlson in 2023.
Statements such as those made by Tate and Carlson are an expression of a strongly misogynistic ideology
in digital environments. This piece questions the relationship between such views and the technical-digital
media through which they are produced, consumed and reproduced. In the drawing, the content is stripped
of its digital context, and the mirror-inverted writing makes reading more difficult.
Reproduction takes place, but in its reversal it opens up a visual space for personal orientation and positioning.
